Over the past couple of weeks, some friends suggested we visit a new exhibit combining two of my favorite pastimes - discovering new people and new architecture in and around London.
Since I've always preferred visiting exhibits alone (the presence of friends seems to detract from my ability to observe), I looked forward to spending the better part of a rainy Sunday tucked inside a museum with nothing but my ipod, camera (bad girl) and a book (in case the exhibit disappointed).
Blind Light (in spite - or maybe because of the crowds) turned out to be one of those surprisingly moving experiences that reminded me of how quickly we become disconnected from those around us - despite our inherent commonalities.
